Sometimes life sucks. We all have days where nothing seems to go right, our work-life balance might be out of whack, our relationships or friendships might have hit a bumpy patch, or any other number of events might have happened which leave us feeling as though we are fighting an uphill battle and losing. This can lead to heightened stress levels and a decrease in our happiness and overall life satisfaction. Whilst life can't always be perfect and unpleasant occurrences are unavoidable, there is one small thing you can do everyday to boost your happiness levels - be grateful.
Gratitude and happiness have long been linked and studies have shown that the more grateful you are, the more positive and happy you are likely to be. Sounds simple, right? But in practice how do you go about being more grateful in your daily life? There is one simple exercise you can do everyday and all you need is yourself and 5 minutes.
